It was a really cool visit. This is the second time we have been able to do this. Our oldest girl also won the Train Essay contest in 3rd grade. Maybe, we have a tradition started here.

Winning Train Essay=Trains Up Close
One of the perks of winning the train essay contest is a trip to the Burlington Northern control center here. Apparently, this area is a hub for rail shipping. We got to visit the control tower and see a diesel engine up close. Sadly, because of safety issues related to weather we weren't able to get on the engine. But, it was still pretty cool to be that close to an engine. They are HUGE!
