Star City Parade

Exactly five years ago today the Churn Meister came to Nebraska to interview for his job. When we spoke on the phone he mentioned that Nebraska just felt good and that there were lots of things for a family to do.

One of those things is the annual Star City Parade - Lincoln's Christmas parade.

It took five years, but we finally went and saw it.

Happy kids in the cold December air get ready for the parade.
The first of many floats to come
The big helium character balloons waiting to go. This one is "Elmo".

The fire department was out in force.
Great school marching bands.

It was a great parade. It must have been the first I've been to in twenty years, and we all enjoyed every minute.
