It all started back in September, when the churnmeister decided to replace the rotten steps on our back
deck. After he did that, he thought "that was easier than I thought. Why not just extend the deck and move the stairs to the front." (Please, keep in mind at this point that the Churnmeister is a professor and not a carpenter. There is no reason why he should know how to do this. He never ceases to amaze me.) So, he made some plans, called his dad and ivy league brother to come help and before we knew it the deck was being dismantled.

It feels so much bigger.
We still have a little bit of cleanup to do but, the deck is great. We are very pleased with how well the project went.
